Lynn Pype

Practice areas

Lynn Pype is specialised in intellectual property law (IP), trade secrets and unfair commercial practices. She advises on copyright, trademarks, designs, patents and databases. She drafts and negotiates IP license agreements and she represents companies in disputes and court proceedings in this respect. She also advises on IP infringements or unfair competition associated thereto. 

She is experienced in setting up distribution systems and assists in looking for the appropriate commercial strategy, such as agency, franchising or (exclusive) distribution or a combination of different systems.  

Lynn also advises on media law, such as on the regulatory aspects of lineair and non-lineair broadcasting, and on the protection of journalistic sources.  

She is also specialised in privacy and data protection law. She analyses GDPR challenges within companies and helps them to comply with their GDPR obligations. 

She also drafts and negotiates contracts for IT and software projects. She assists app and technology developers with their legal questions. She also advises on the legal aspects of e-commerce and online marketing.

Academic activities and memberships

Lynn is a lecturer at Artesis Plantijn College Antwerp. She is often part of the jury during the Price Media Law Moot Court in Oxford.

Professional admissions 

Lynn has been a member of the Dutch-Speaking Bar Association at the Brussels Bar since 2010.

Prior professional experience

Prior to joining Timelex in 2018, Lynn worked 7 years at the law firm Peeters Law in Brussels.
